Food Slain with Michele Thorne

The Climate Front Line is a show that engages social movement & industry leaders as well as artists. Each conversation changes the narrative by centering the interest and needs of communities at the front line of climate change.

In this episode, I engage with Michele Thorne. Michele and I attended the same graduate schools at different times, and I became interested in what she was talking about because of an episode on quinoa. One of my favorite foods. She spoke about it in a way that not centric to the United States, and was asking deep questions about the food supply, and ultimately how we relate to mother earth.

Listen in as we discuss how she navigates language, her journey with food, as we explore how labels and the clerk are layers are additional layers that separate us from our environment as well as those people at the front line of climate change.
